This study investigates the cultural and regional factors that influence user reviews on the Steam platform, focusing on the differences in player satisfaction across regions. Our analysis reveals that East Asian players tend to provide lower user ratings compared to their Western counterparts. These differences are driven by distinct cultural expectations regarding game quality, optimization, pricing, and aesthetic preferences. By exploring these regional disparities, this research highlights the importance of understanding player expectations and cultural contexts for game developers. The findings suggest that addressing these regional factors can lead to improved player satisfaction and more successful global market strategies. Ultimately, this study emphasizes the need for cultural awareness in the gaming industry to create more engaging and inclusive experiences for players worldwide.
