Information Technology Librarian
Nikesh is an experienced Information Technology Librarian at Zayed University, Dubai, specializing in Web-scale Discovery solutions, LSP/ILS implementations, remote access, repositories, and Institutional ORCID API implementations. He holds an MTech in Information Systems and Management from the University of Mysore, where he earned a gold medal, and master's degrees in Library and Information Science and Business Studies.
Previously, Nikesh was a Systems Librarian at Khalifa University in Abu Dhabi, where he unified ILS, discovery, remote access, and repository systems for the Masdar Institute, the Petroleum Institute, and KUSTAR. At EBSCO, he implemented over 100 EBSCO Discovery profiles across India and South Asia.
Nikesh has worked with major international publishers like Elsevier, Wiley, and Taylor and Francis, managing client relationships and contributing to significant projects, including Mahatma Gandhi University's institutional repository and a union catalog project. He has extensive knowledge of ILS systems, digital library software, ERM systems, content creation, and management of Libguides. Proficient in Moodle LMS, SCOPUS, and the Web of Science, Nikesh has led numerous projects, including union catalogs, theses digitization, ILS migrations, Web-scale Discovery service migrations, and institutional repository migrations.
