Dr. Xian received his PhD in Environmental Engineering from Princeton University in early 2018, under the supervision of Prof. Ning Lin and Prof. Michael Oppenheimer. His research has been focusing on climate change mechanism, economic impact from climate change, and risk mitigation measures. He has published over 15 papers in top scientific journals with citation of over 700, h-index of 13. He was also working at the Wharton School on catastrophe insurance pricing and risk management. He is now a lead strategist at Bytedance, helping the business transformation and market expansion under the policy restrictions.
