Sinawo Nomandela completed the National Diploma (NDip), Bachelor of Technology (BTech), and Master of Engineering (MEng) in Electrical Engineering Power Systems at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) in 2016, 2018, and 2021. He has been a Graduate/Research/Assistant with the Center for Substation Automation and Energy Management Systems (CSAEMS) from 2018 to 2020. At present, he is a Lecturer at Walter Sisulu University while registered (since 2022) for his Doctor of Engineering (DEng) with CPUT.
In 2016, he worked for Protea Chemicals as a Learner Technician for his internship and gained experience in the maintenance of plant machinery. He also worked for LH Marthinusen where he was employed as an Apprentice in Small Motor Rewinding.
His research interests include power system stability, power system protection, control, and monitoring, and renewable power plants (RPPs). Lately, he also found interest in engineering education.
