Colour Therapy in the Fight Against COVID-19

In this research we have tried to determine whether colour therapy diagnostic and prognostic tool can help individuals deal with the stress, depression, anxiety and mood swings which are resulting as a consequence of the present lockdown. A group of 20 willing participants chosen by accidental sampling were asked to submit their artworks and the diagnosis and prognosis about their mental conditions and personalities were drawn from the colour scheme of their paintings. Finally 5 of them were administered colour therapy to help heal their distress and their responses were noted. The participants consented to the research after all the terms and conditions were explained to them and agreed to volunteer their anonymised artworks and other responses as long as their identity was protected by all means.

A 16 year old School-going child was referred for career counseling associated with deficits in intellectual function confirmed by clinical assessment and intelligence testing. She has difficulties in social emotional reciprocity and restricted repetitive patterns of behaviours and activities. She has expressed persistent anger and irritability between out bursts.

The Thematic Apperception Test is a technique for the investigation of the dynamics of personality in clinical and non-clinical settings .It has been regarded as the popular assessment tools over the last 75 years In this present study the TAT was administered on 30 substance users namely in four categories: Brown sugar , Buprenorphine , Ganja and alcoholism . All of them were male . Their age range belong to 25-40 . 75% of them were married. Most of them were from lower to middle class socioeconomic status . instructions were given The personality dynamics of addicts - were explored qualitatively by Thematic Apperception Test . It could be assumed that four groups follow a dis pattern . Further research is called for replication of the present.
