I received my bachelor’s in Geology from Kabul University in general Geology. a MSc in Agriculture in 2006, and a Ph.D. in Groundwater both from Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology of Japan. After my postgraduate studies, I worked for two years as an Engineer at CTI Engineering International Company in Japan in water resources investigation and urban water supply. Currently, I am a Visiting Scholar in the Department of Natural Resources and the Environment and South Asia Program at Cornell University and a fellow of the International Institute of Education, Scholar Rescue Fund (IIE-SRF). I have researched groundwater resources investigation, climate change impacts on water resources, climate change mitigation through using renewable energy resources, peacebuilding, climate change, and migration.
