Aviti T. Mushi is an Electrical Engineer and was the University of Dar es Salaam Academic Staff Assembly's (UDASA) Chairperson from 2020 to 2022. Dr. Mushi is specialist in the following research and consulting areas:- rural and urban electrification, renewable energies, smart grids, digital control, design and analysis of DC-DC converters, high voltage technologies, power electronics, electrical drives and machines, power systems control and protections, and mechatronics. Dr. Mushi obtained B.Sc. (EE) in 2005 from University of Dar es Salaam; M.Sc. (Power Systems and High Voltage) from University of Dar es Salaam in 2010; and PhD (Electrical and Computer Systems Engineering) from Yokohama National University in 2017. Dr. Mushi worked at Wartsila (T) Ltd. in 2005 as an electrician; Health and Safety (T) Ltd. in 2006 as an engineer; JPC Trade Ltd as a sales engineer from 2014 - 2016; and University of Dar es Salaam as an academician since 2008. He is currently a lecturer, researcher and consultant at the department of electrical engineering of University of Dar es Salaam.
