Federico Prefumo, MD, PhD, is Associate Professor in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of Brescia, Italy and Consultant Obstetrician and Gynecologist at Spedali Civili Hospital in Brescia. Prof. Prefumo has previously worked at the Giannina Gaslini Institute in Genova, Italy and in the Fetal Medicine Unit at St. George's Hospital, London, UK. His main interests are in the field of high-risk obstetrics, maternal-fetal medicine, fetal therapy and prenatal diagnosis. He has also worked on endometriosis and gynecological imaging. Prof. Prefumo is an Editor of BJOG: An International Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. For the years 2011-2012 and 2015-2017, he has been elected Vice-President of the Italian Society for Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology (SIEOG).
