Hepatorenal syndrome is a rare life-threatening complication of acetaminophen toxicity. It is not responsive to fluid therapy and need performing an emergent liver transplantation. Here, we introduce a 24-year-old woman with a history of chronic high doses of acetaminophen consumption, presenting with nausea, vomiting, lethargy, oliguria, and severe metabolic acidosis.

Hemoglobin S (HBS) and hemoglobin E (HBE) are common hemoglobinopathies, but combined heterozygosity of HBS and HBE (HBSE) is relatively a rare disease. Most reports suggest that HBSE is generally benign condition. In this report we describe a 17-year-old male patient presenting with acute chest syndrome treated with exchange transfusion.

Maternal diabetes insipidus does not usually adversely affect the course of pregnancy. We present a rare case of central diabetes insipidus diagnosed at 31 weeks of gestation with fetal oligohydramnios successfully treated with intranasal desmopressin. To date, only three cases of diabetes insipidus with oligohydramnios have been reported.

We report a case of a 44-year-old man with a history of relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis, who presented with signs and symptoms consistent with CRS after rituximab initiation.

An 83 year old female had asymptomatic SARS-CoV-2 infection while taking ruxolitinib. She remained RT-PCR positive for viral RNA for >120 days, Pegylated interferon for 4 weeks led to viral RNA clearance. The observations support combination therapy of ruxolitinib + interferon for COVID-19.

We describe a case of onset of CU after multiple wasp stings that remitted during venom immunotherapy.

We describe a case of isolated primary CNS lymphomatoid granulomatosis and a discordant low-grade B-cell lymphoma involving the bone marrow causing chronic immune thrombocytopenia. Clinical course was complicated with disseminated zoster and sub-massive pulmonary embolism. Our patient was successfully managed with a combination radioimmunotherapy strategy with rituximab and radiation therapy.

Imatinib is used as first-line treatment for chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) even in patients with impaired renal function. We successfully used therapeutic drug monitoring to determine the dose for re-administration of imatinib in a CML patient who initiated dialysis for acute renal dysfunction associated with the initial imatinib therapy.
