With an extensive background in the transportation and railway systems industry, I currently serve as Market & Portfolio Management Director at Hitachi Rail. I oversee market and product strategy, coordinate R&D investments, conduct business and market analysis, and lead the development of competitive product roadmaps. Additionally, I am responsible for OT/Product Cybersecurity, defining and implementing robust security measures across all business lines, including Rail Control, Vehicle platforms, and Digital Solutions.
Earlier in my career, I led several high-profile driverless/UTO metro projects, such as Milan M5, Riyadh PNU Metro, and Riyadh Line 3, as ICT Systems Leader.
I have had the privilege of serving two terms as Chairman of the ITT Committee at the International Association of Public Transport (UITP). For my contributions to the sector, I was honored to be appointed Honorary Chair.
Building on my experience in systems engineering, innovation strategy, and critical infrastructure development, I have developed a deep interest in artificial intelligence’s philosophical, ethical, and organizational dimensions.
This perspective inspired “Philosophy of the Machines – A Manifesto for Humans in the Age of Artificial Agents,” a personal intellectual project that explores the intersection of engineering logic, strategic foresight, and human cognition.
It reflects my commitment to responsible innovation, where technology serves performance and purpose.
