IntroductionBilateral vocal cord paralysis (BVCP) is a rare, life-threatening condition that can compromise airway patency 1. COVID-19, Herpes Simplex Virus, Epstein-Barr Virus (EBV) and Cytomegalovirus (CMV) have been widely reported as potential viral causes 1-3. Influenza A has been associated with neurological syndromes such as brainstem encephalitis and Guillain-Barre Syndrome, however, historically there have only been two reports of vocal cord paralysis secondary to influenzal origin 4, 5.We present a case report of a 57-year-old male who developed BVCP following Influenza A infection.
