Surgical Repair of Total Anomalous Pulmonary Venous Connection in a 28-Year-Old Adult: A Multi-Modality Imaging-Guided Case ReportAbstract:Total anomalous pulmonary venous connection (TAPVC) also known as Total anomalous pulmonary venous return (TAPVR), is an uncommon congenital heart anomaly, with patients typically exhibiting symptoms at early ages. Survival to adulthood without surgical intervention is exceedingly uncommon. We present a 28-year-old woman presenting with an exertional dyspnea, which on paraclinical evaluations, echocardiogragm indicated a significant atrial septal defect accompanied by anomalous pulmonary veins drainage into the coronary sinus (CS). Cardiac catheterization was consistent with echocardiographic findings. Cardiac CT verified cardiac total anomalous pulmonary venous connection (TAPVC), in which all pulmonary veins converge into a \RL pulmonary venous confluence that ultimately drains into the coronary sinus and right atrium. She exhibited no symptoms and underwent a successful surgical intervention. Keywords: Pulmonary veins, Pregnancy, Heart defects, congenital, case report.
