KEY CLINICAL MESSAGEThis case report presents positive outcomes from deep brain stimulation (DBS) targeting bed nucleus of stria terminalis (BNST) in two patients with treatment-resistant depression and generalized anxiety disorder, while DBS targeting the medial forebrain bundle (MFB) was unclear.
