Biologist and Educational Researcher at Witten/Herdecke University
The focus of my scientific research is in the field of pharmacology, such as experimental drug discovery and neurobiology. Methodologically, these projects were characterized by electrophysiology and cutting-edge technologies such as optogenetics. During my PhD in the NG Cellular Neurobiology (Ruhr-University, Bochum), I investigated protein diversification processes of glutamate receptors at the transcriptome level bioinformatically using RNA-Seq data. As a postdoctoral researcher at the UW/H I investigated various questions of renal physiology. Currently, my focus is on educational research and the optimization and development of sustainable teaching concepts.
