July 29, 2024
The Ghana National Ambulance Service, established in 2004, has expanded its reach and improved emergency care across the country. Despite this progress, recent Auditor General reports highlight ongoing challenges, including operational inefficiencies, inadequate maintenance, and underutilized resources. These issues underscore the need for a comprehensive overhaul. This article explores effective strategies to address these challenges, focusing on technological advancements, improved management, and targeted training. By modernizing the ambulance fleet and enhancing operational practices, we can create a more efficient and responsive service to better meet the needs of the Ghanaian population.
