Assistant Professor
Dr. G K Dinesh (Govindaraj Kamalam Dinesh) serves as an Assistant Professor of Environmental Sciences at College of Agriculture, Central Agricultural University, Iroisemba, Imphal, India, under the Government of India. He earned his PhD in Environmental Science from ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi, achieving a national-level 5th rank and receiving the IARI Ph.D. Senior Research Fellowship through a national entrance examination. Additionally, he is a recipient of the 'Young Advantage Fellow' award from the Institute of Biosciences, USA, and holds an honorary Research Fellow position at INTI International University, Malaysia.
Dr. Dinesh completed his Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture at Annamalai University, Chidambaram, Tamil Nadu, India, and his Master’s degree in (Agriculture) Environmental Science from Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India. During his Master’s program, he received a fellowship for academic excellence through the Student Junior Research Fellowship under the TNAU-Private Industrial Agency Scheme (Sakthi Sugars Pvt. Ltd.) and conducted a long-term impact assessment study on distillery effluent application on soil and Cassava and Jasmine crops. His Master’s thesis focused on the ecology of birds and insects in organic and inorganic paddy ecosystems.
