Inclusive schools advance equity and social justice for diverse students and families. Creating inclusive cultures is the key element of inclusive schools, which can occur through establishing authentic school-family-community partnerships. In this paper, we explored how educators worked with each other and community partners to foster an inclusive culture in an urban elementary school. They collaborated as a community of practice to improve school for their students and families, which ultimately contributed to promoting an inclusive culture in the school community. This analysis provides insight into how urban schools leverage social capital to better support their diverse students and families.
