Pericardial bands have been rarely reported as a congenital or an acquired defects that can develop after partial pericardiectomy for the treatment of constructive pericarditis in several adult case reports. It can cause an hourglass appearance in ventricular free walls and lead to obstruction in the ventricular outflow or inflow tracts. Here, we present a case of pericardial band, which is considered to be congenital, with an appearance of external compression on the right ventricle in an asymptomatic adolescent girl. The case is presented because there is no similar case in the childhood and adolescent in the literature review.
