Taprobanea spathulata (L.) Christ. is a tropical epiphytic orchid known for its large and fascinating flowers. During a regular survey of succulent species in the Western Ghats region, we observed T. spathulata growing on new phorophytes belonging to different plant families in the Madukkarai Hills of Tamilnadu, India. In the present study, new phorophytes like Canthium coromandelicum (Burm.f.) Alston, Euphorbia tortilis Rottler ex Ainslie, and Pavonia zeylonica (L.) Cav. was recorded for T. spathulata. The exploration of the new phorophytes of different habits would be beneficial for the management and conservation of T. spathulata.
