Two sets of data are employed by this study - qualitative in form of face to face in-depth interview with electoral stakeholders in the country, report and media coverage of events as they unfold in the country by media houses and election observers both domestic and foreign. The second is a quantitative type from a survey by Afrobarometer of Round 4 (n = 2,324 weighted results) and 5 (n = 2,400 weighted results).
