Colby went to Zambia to do his undergraduate studies from 2003 to 2006. Thereafter, he went to Ediburgh University in UK to a Masters of Science degree in Theology and Public Life with a major in World Christianity. In 2016, he went to South Korea to a PhD in World Christianity and Intercultural Studies. Currently he is a full-time staff at the University of Livingstonia in Malawi.
