An adaptive grid-synchronization control for voltage source converters (VSCs) is proposed. The proposed control has both grid-forming (GFM) and grid-following (GFL) ingredients, which makes it exhibit GFM-GFL dual features and the advantages of both. In addition, the VSC’s synchronization performance can be dynamically optimized by adaptively adjusting the GFM-GFL weighting coefficients. Theoretical and simulation analyses are performed to verify the effectiveness of the proposed control.Â
