India has the dubious distinction of being home to a large number of people suffering from diabetes. According to IDF, 65.1 million of adults in India suffered from diabetes in the year 2013[2]. It has been predicted that the prevalence of diabetes in the adult population in India will be 6% by the year 2025[3].
