Abstract
The novel coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a member of Beta
coronaviruses that became pandemic by March of 2020. The hematological
manifestations related to COVID-19 are mostly lymphopenia,
thrombocytopenia, elevated D-dimer, and ferritin levels. Autoimmune
hemolytic anemia (AIHA) associated with COVID-19 has been described
rarely; however, to our knowledge, complement-mediated autoimmune
hemolytic anemia (CM-AIHA) has not been reported in children. Here, we
report a child with COVID-19 associated with CM-AIHA.
