Orthogonal-biplane imaging (xplane) is a relatively new tool and provides comprehensive information about mitral valve and left atrial appendage evaluation. On the other hand, x plane method is a promising method in diagnosis of semilunar valve pathologies. Below, we report two cases, in which xplane method was used in order to clairify diagnosis. Case 1 : 63 year old male patient with dyspnea admitted to our clinic. Right ventricular dilatation and hypertrophy were assessed. In order to determine the exact reason of right ventricular pressure overload, pulmonary valve was evaluated by xplane and bicuspid pulmonary valve was represented. This patient has been undergone to pulmonary valve percutaneous valvuloplasty. Case 2 48 year-old male patient with historu of cerebrovascular event was admited to our hospital. His initial transthorasic and transoesaphageal echocardiography showed hyperechoic mobile mass on non-coronary cusp. However, after xplane was used to detect aortic valve,it was the prolapsed part of the non-coronary cusp adjacent to  the commissure.

Herein we present a case of a right ventricular (RV) thrombus in a patient with arrhythmogenic cardiomyopathy (ACM). The 24-year old female patient was diagnosed with ACM after echocardiography and cardiac magnetic resonance imaging. Interestingly, at echocardiography, an unusal thrombus formation was detected at RV lateral wall. Also, CMR confirmed the thrombus and oral anticoagulant therapy was started. Even in arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy patients thrombi are rarely reported. However, the development of imaging techniques may enable more frequent detection and effective treatment of thrombi in these patients.

Bioprosthetic valves have risk of gradual valve degeneration and dysfunction in follow-up period. In this case report, we describe a 72-year-old man who suffered from severe transvalvular mitral valve regurgitation due to isolated rupture of the bioprosthetic mitral valve without significant degeneration, calcification and thickness. We would like to emphasize this rare prosthetic valve-related complication in a 10-year-old bioprosthetic valve.

Herein we present a case of concomitant congenital anomalies with an iatrogenic defect. The female patient underwent a percutaneous mitral balloon valvuloplasty due to rheumatic mitral stenosis. Unfortunately, an iatrogenic atrial septal defect (ASD) occurred and also, partial anomalous pulmonary venous return was observed at post-procedure evaluation. The patient had severe symptoms and the right heart chambers were dilated on imaging. But perhaps, the most crucial point was that the patient was planning a pregnancy. After a difficult and patient-involved decision process, the patient underwent to successful robotic surgery for iatrogenic ASD and partial anomalous pulmonary venous return. After operation, the patient was asymptomatic and right heart chambers normalized.
