Acute fatty liver disease of pregnancy (AFLP) is a rare condition associated with other common liver manifestations such as hemolysis, elevated liver enzymes, and low platelets syndrome (HELLP). We present a 27-year-old pregnant woman who developed hepatic encephalopathy and DIC after being diagnosed with Acute fatty liver disease of pregnancy.

Yellow nail syndrome is a rare lymphatic abnormality without a clear pathogenesis. Hereby, we report A 70-year Sudanese female who presented with recurrent cough, recurrent lower limb swelling and yellowish nail discoloration diagnosed as yellow nail syndrome but unfortunately passed away due to acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS).

HIV can be associated with cardiovascular complications. We highlight unusual presentation of HIV patient with MI and stroke. 30 year old HIV male presented with MI complicated by stroke. Recovered within 5 days with anti-ischemic and diuretics. Screening tests for unusual presentations prevent fatal complications of common diseases.

Acute pericarditis is uncommon presentation of COVID-19. Here we described a case of 50-year-old male who presented with chest pain without fever nor cough and diagnosed with acute pericarditis complicated by pericardial effusion due to COVID-19 after exclusion of other cause and receive supportive treatment and improve over two weeks.

A 3 years old child presented with recurrent chest pain for 3 months, echocardiography showed a thorn inside left ventricle, patient diagnosed as foreign body plus infective endocarditis, received proper treatment, and operation done after inflammatory reaction subsided.

A 16-year-old female presented to our ED with fever and coughing of blood for 3 days. She is known to have SLE for 5 months and takes oral prednisone. She was tested positive for COVID19. She developed hypocalcemia with clinically-diagnosed massive pulmonary embolism. She was treated with heparin and recovered.
