Brucella, a zoonotic agent is a rare pathogen of the lung. This intracellular organism can involve pleura in sub-acute and chronic course of the disease, and it should be considered in endemic area of brucellosis. Here, we present an extremely rare case of brucella pleurisy that referred with chest pain.

Abstract We present an acute intoxication with 12 grams of efavirenz (EFV) in a 16-year-old healthy girl whose main problem was neurotoxicity which is dose-dependent. No other serious EFV-related side effects were seen. Previous serious side effects of EFV were observed in HIV-infected patients who underwent long-term combination drug therapy.

Hepatorenal syndrome is a rare life-threatening complication of acetaminophen toxicity. It is not responsive to fluid therapy and need performing an emergent liver transplantation. Here, we introduce a 24-year-old woman with a history of chronic high doses of acetaminophen consumption, presenting with nausea, vomiting, lethargy, oliguria, and severe metabolic acidosis.
