Allergist and pediatrician
Dr. Larenas-Linnemann received her MD cum laude in 1992 at the Rijksuniversiteit Utrecht in the Netherlands. She received her title as Pediatrician (1995) and Pediatric Allergist (1997) at the National Institute of Pediatrics, Mexico City. In 2016, her center became a GA2LEN certified Center of Excellence and in March 2017 she was appointed Director of the Center of Excellence in Asthma and Allergy at the Hospital Médica Sur, Mexico City. Dr. Larenas-Linnemann has coordinated the National Guidelines on immunotherapy (2019 and 2011), the transculturized document: ARIA México (2014), the Mexican Urticaria Guidelines (2014, a leading regional document with >90,000 downloads) and the Mexican Guideline on Asthma (2020 and 2017); coordinating in each guideline many experts of a dozen of national societies in the field. In 2012, she was named ARIA Country Coordinator and in 2020 she became Advocate to GINA for México. She is Expert Panel member of the EAACI/GA²LEN/EDF/WAO Urticaria guideline update 2020. In recognition of her expertise in allergy, Dr. Larenas-Linnemann has lectured at numerous National, Regional and Global Allergy Congresses. She is or has been committee chair at EAACI, AAAAI, SLAAI and CMICA (WAO, ACAAI: cie-member). Dr. Larenas-Linnemann has published over 150 articles in peer-reviewed journals and has written various book chapters.
