As the clinical course of COVID-19 infection in SCD patients is not clear, close monitoring is essential. We emphasize that RBC exchange should be offered early to avoid possible deterioration. We report a 56-year-old male with methemoglobinemia and hemolytic anemia, secondary to fava bean ingestion. Methylene blue administration worsened the hemolysis as he was G6PD deficient but not diagnosed before. We have discussed the mechanism of hemolysis in such patients and the management of such cases.

The atrial septal aneurysm is a rare cardiac abnormality that is usually detected during routine echocardiography or evaluation of cases with thromboembolism. We report a 62 years old male who presented with abdominal pain and bleeding per rectum found to have ischemic colitis and atrial septal aneurysm on transesophageal echocardiogram.

Eltrombopag is relatively new drug used in Thrombocytopenia. Its dose should be adjusted based on platelets count. It should be stopped when platelets count reach 400,000/mm³. 1.7% of myeloproliferative neoplasms are associated with autoimmune conditions. Association of myasthenia gravis (MG) with chronic myeloid leukemia is reported, but its association with polycythemia vera (PV) has never been reported. we reported an18 years old male with beta thalassemia major who presented with back pain progressive over 1 month associated with numbness in thighs, together with lower limbs weakness and difficulty walking. he also mentioned having difficulty in passing urine. he received radiotherapy which results in significant improvement in symptoms
