Multiple Intracardiac Masses as the Primary Presentation of a Systemic
Inflammatory Disease: A Big Challenge (Case Report)
Abstract
Antiphospholipid syndrome (APS) classically presents with venous or
arterial thrombosis and pregnancy morbidity. Although clinical
manifestations with fever of unknown origin and intracardiac masses are
unusual, in a patient with prolonged fever and multiple intracardiac
thrombi, systemic inflammatory diseases such as APS should be
considered.
