Efficient handling of perishable medication inventory is crucial for
maintaining healthcare system operations. It prioritizes patient needs
while also aiming to minimize costs and environmental impact. This study
enhanced a production inventory model to address the distinct challenges
like deterioration, preservation technology, and carbon emissions
associated with perishable medications. With these considerations, a
mathematical model has developed an optimal production inventory that
balances cost efficiency with environmental sustainability. Finally, the
sensitivity analysis and results validated the model's effectiveness
across diverse scenarios.Submitted to Mathematical Methods in the Applied Sciences Submission Checks Completed
